This #MelaninMoment is definitely dedicated to the ladies! Here’s the scoop:
Target recently launched a brand new men’s clothing line, GoodFellow & Co. and have recruited some pretty handsome gents for its ad campaign. One in particular is Queen Sugar‘s Kofi Siriboe (insert emoji heart eyes here), who posted pics sporting some pieces from the new line on Instagram.
Kofi Siribae, as many fondly like to call him, is no stranger to fashion. His Instagram feed is a healthy mix of him on the QS set, red carpet looks, and some serious style inspo from his various magazine spreads and, well— his daily life.
In July, Target announced it would be retiring some of its long-standing house brands and adding a few new ones to the line up: A New Day, GoodFellow & Co., JoyLab and Project 62.
The company also shared some intel on how men don’t necessarily come to the store intending to buy clothing (underwear is actually the #1 seller among that demo) and how they are aiming to change that with the introduction of GoodFellow & Co.
The modern-meets-classic line offers clothing, accessories and shoes in modern fits and contemporary designs. Along with the collection, Target also introduced four new fits: big & tall slim, skinny, athletic, and straight.
Here’s what Target’s Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer Mark Tritton said about the inspiration behind the new brands.
“Our new brands are all about the changing face of our guests—what they need, what they’re looking for from Target. When we took a close look at our existing assortment with this in mind, we saw a disconnect. We knew we’d need to refresh our offerings—and define new ones—so our guests continue to love what they’re discovering at Target and want to keep coming back, again and again.”
